Trident Seafoods M/V Sea Trader – Ceramic Insulation Coating on Interior Structure

This application of ceramic insulation coating (ACS CIC) is on the M/V Sea Trader, a cargo vessel operated by Trident Seafoods of Tacoma, Washington State, was to insulate internal plate and stiffeners in the crew quarters area of the bow. A total of 80 mils (2mm) of CIC was applied over primer on the overhead and bulkheads of areas exposed to the exterior. This is a standard treatment for Alaska service vessels. Areas insulated with ACS CIC will be exposed and/or covered with finish panels.

The Sea Trader is used by Trident Seafoods to shipped materials up to Alaska for use by it’s fleet and shore-side facilities. Then at the end of the season, to ship finished product south to the lower 48
